1	Georgia College & State University Spring Career Fair 2004, Main Campus, Milledgeville, GA, March 22, 2004.  Event conducted by college's Student Placement Services office.  The Business Manager of WGXA TV attended the career fair.	Participant in job fair seeking qualified applicants for open station vacancies, and to promote broadcasting as a career and WGXA as an employer.
2	Macon State College Part-Time Job/Internship Career Expo, Warner Robins, GA Campus, September 29, 2004.  Event conducted by Student Services.  The Business Manager of WGXA TV attended the career expo.	Participant in job fair seeking qualified applicants for open part-time station vacancies and internship candidates, and to promote broadcasting as a career and WGXA as an employer.
3	Macon State College Career Day, Macon Campus, September 22, 2004.  Event conducted by Student Services.	WGXA News Director was a guest speaker at Career Day.  He spoke to the assembled students about careers in broadcast news.
4	Ingram Pye Elementary School Career Week, Macon, GA, May 3-7, 2004, sponsored by Bibb County Board of Education.	WGXA Chief Meterologist spoke to the students about careers in broadcasting weather on May 5, 2004; Program/Satellite Coordinator demonstrated "Live Truck" and the technological knowledge needed to interpret and broadcast from a remote location on May 6, 2004.
5	Macon State College Graduation Day, Macon Campus, April 23, 2004.  Event sponsored by Macon State College.	WGXA Evening Co-Anchor gave graduation speech for the Minority Achievement Program at a local college.  As part of her presentation, she spoke about the opportunities available to her in broadcasting, as well as her experiences and accomplishments as a co-anchor at WGXA TV.
6	Mercer University, Macon Campus, November 15, 2004.  Event requested by Mercer University School of Business.	WGXA News Director spoke to a political science class at Mercer (per their invitation) about politics in the News.  As part of his presentation to the class, he spoke about job opportunities in larger broadcast markets to specialize in reporting on politics and political candidates
7	Piedmont Television Internship Program, 2004, Sponsored by Piedmont Holdings, LLC, conducted by WGXA TV, Macon, GA.  Administered by Dorrie Farlee, Business Manager, and Celeste Smith, Assignment Editor, of WGXA TV.	Administered corporate internship program at the local level for college students interested in acquiring skills needed for broadcast employment.  During the reporting period of 12/1/03 - 11/30/04, 22 college interns participated in the program.
8	WGXA Targeted Training Program, Macon, GA  September - November, 2004.  Initiated by Dorrie Farlee, Business Manager, conducted by Heidi Jo Nobles, Sales Service Coordinator.	Implemented a targeted training program designed to enable station employees to acquire new or advanced skills which could qualify them for higher level positions.  Two General & Administrative assistants and one Sales assistant participated in an in-house training program conducted by the station's Sales Service Coordinator.  The participants received on-the-job cross training in other positions at the station.
